Florence campaigns for a safe road crossing in Four Lanes

Florence MacDonald campaigning for a safety crossing in Four LanesFlorence MacDonald, local parish councillor is campaigning for a safe crossing on the main road through Four Lanes to help children get safely to school.

There have been several accidents on the main road through Four Lanes in the last year alone. Despite this and the Highways officer visiting Four Lanes, no action has been taken. Apparently, speeding is not considered a problem!

Florence said, " As a teacher myself, I know how difficult drop offs and pick ups can be for parents.

A crossing on the main road would allow local parents to walk their children to school, which would ease traffic congestion at pick up and drop off times on Loscombe Road.

But this is not just about getting children safely to school.

There are many people with mobility issues in the village who struggle to get to the post office and local shop!"
