Nathan Billing's 'clean up day', aimed at tackling rampant weeds and picking up litter in Gwelmor has been hailed as great success. Now Nathan is calling on Camborne Town Council to take on the service.

The team was called in by local residents after Nathan did a door to door survey in the area. Local people were fed up of the council not spraying weeds and wanted something done.

Nathan said: "It was pretty clear from my resident's survey that people are fed up with the place looking overgrown and not very tidy. I understand that Cornwall Council are getting squeezed financially and they are increasingly concentrating on the essential services.

"What I can't fathom is why Camborne Town Council can't step up to the plate and do this. I understand Truro City Council is looking to take on this service there, so why can't Camborne? There is a whole raft of services like weeding and litter picking that Camborne could and should take on that would make a real difference to the local community. It just takes a little vision."
